Traditional Upholsterer

Lorfords Created craft traditionally constructed and upholstered furniture in our Cotswold studio. We are a small, friendly team working together in Tetbury to produce luxury upholstered furniture for clients in the UK and internationally, we have a reputation for producing high quality bespoke furniture. We are looking for a like-minded, experienced individual to join our team.

Job description

This is a fabulous opportunity for an upholsterer with an excellent knowledge of and experience using traditional skills. The successful candidate will have an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality, have an eye for every detail, and be highly motivated to exceed our customers’ expectations. It’s more important to us that you have a great attitude and are willing to learn, than proficiency in all traditional upholstery techniques.

Key Skills Required

• A range of traditional upholstery skills

• Cutting, sewing and pattern matching

• Ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained

• Experience with traditional furniture such as antique recovers

• A relevant qualification is advantageous

• Work well as part of a team, and confident to complete your own projects

We're currently based in Tetbury but have secured a new modern workshop in Stroud to help house our larger team. Relocation expenses can be discussed for the right candidate.
